Abstract

A COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW OF SKINCARE: SCIENCE, ROUTINE AND RECOMMENDED PRODUCTS

Shital Rangnath Mane*, Dr. Sanjay K. Bais

Abstract

Skincare is a comprehensive routine and practice intended to maintain and enhance the appearance & condition of the skin. These types are distinguished by their own characteristics, such as texture, oil production, and sensitivity to environmental factors or products. Sensitive skin is easily agitated and reacts to stimuli, combination skin has both dry and oily areas, dry skin feels tight and flaky, and oily skin is prone to shine and breakouts because of excess sebum. Since skin type significantly influences how products interact with the skin, tailoring skincare routines to individual needs is essential. Across all skin types, sun protection is universally critical, as ultraviolet (UV) exposure accelerates photoaging and increases the risk of skin cancer. Additionally, targeted treatments—such as retinoids for anti-aging, vitamin C for pigmentation, and attracted peptides for collagen support—can be incorporated based on individual concerns Every year, the skincare sector grows rapidly. However, many skincare companies have a sizable customer base by using their distinctive product.

Keywords: skincare, cosmetics product, safety.
