NUTRACEUTICAL BENEFICIAL FOR PREVENTION OF CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE

Abstract Nutraceutical is defined as a food or part of food that provides medical health benefits, including the prevention and treatment of disease or promotion of health. Nutraceuticals are bioactive compounds. Cardiovascular disease is the most common health related and worldwide problem. Cardiovascular factors including hypertension and diabetes mellitus. Nutraceuticals reduce side effects of cancer chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Nutraceutical food sources are rich in antioxidants, antiinflammatory and hypoglycemic properties. The Indian government food safety and standard act to regulate the nutraceutical industry was passed in 2006.These nutraceuticals play an important role in the major problems such as cardiovascular disease, cancer therapy, diabetes, obesity, arthritis, cholesterol etc. The global nutraceutical market is established as USD 404.8 billion in 2025. In this time are focused on the development of new nutraceuticals; food supplements etc By scavenging free radicals, omega-3 fatty acids can help in damage cell and reduce the risk of heart disease and certain cancer. Antioxidants are help in protect the heart and blood vessels by fighting inflammation, reducing oxidative stress and potentially reduce cholesterol then no chances of cardiovascular disease.
