Dr. Gaurav Gulabchandra Gupta*, Dr. Archana Gharge
Abstract Ayurveda has been using its wealth of traditional resources to benefit humanity. An important development in Ayurveda is the incorporation of cutting-edge diagnostic imaging technologies, which combine traditional ideas from Samhita texts with contemporary advancements. Ayurveda has a distinct approach to illness diagnosis and treatment. The development and clinical uses of diagnostic imaging in Ayurveda are examined in this review, with a focus on the synergy between conventional diagnostic techniques and modern modalities like electroencephalography (EEG), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT scan), ultrasonography (USG), and electrocardiography (ECG), which can be used to monitor any abnormality and arrive at a likely diagnosis. These technologies enhance therapy results, surgical planning, and diagnostic precision in a variety of Ayurvedic medical specializations. A doctor using a variety of diagnostic methods is needed to arrive at a plausible diagnosis in accordance with Ayurveda and to choose a likely course of therapy. Several Ayurvedic Acharayas have described pareeksha in classical scriptures. For the benefit of patients, a new stage of integrative healthcare is being shaped by the fusion of traditional knowledge and modern technologies. Ayurveda may now use a variety of imaging techniques for diagnostic, prognostic, and therapeutic purposes thanks to advancements in the medical world. As a result, an attempt has been made to provide insight into the use of imaging technologies in Ayurveda. Keywords: Ayurveda, X-rays, ultrasonography, CT Scans, diagnostic tools.
