CLIMATE ANXIETY & JANAPADODHWAMSA: AYURVEDIC SOLUTIONS TO ECO-STRESS

Abstract Climate change affects physical and mental health simultaneously, and a new psychological response — climate anxiety — has emerged, particularly among younger generations. Classical Ayurvedic thought describes large-scale ecological and societal disruption under the concept of Janapadodhwamsa, which links environmental corruption with population-level disease. This review explores climate anxiety through Ayurvedic principles and proposes integrated preventive and therapeutic strategies using Achara Rasayana, Sadvritta, Ritucharya, Satvavajaya Chikitsa, Yoga, and Rasayana therapies.
