Abstract

Quinoxaline is nitrogen containing heterocyclic nucleus which is made up of benzene ring and pyrazine ring. Also called benzopyrazine. It is a wonderful nucleus which gives almost all type of biological activity. Due to diversity in biological activity it attracts the researchers to find out more its biological activity. Present article is sincere attempt to review history, chemistry,synthesis and applications of quinoxline.
