ROLE OF HERBO-MINERAL MEDICINES IN AYURVEDIC GYNECOLOGY AND OBSTETRICS: A REVIEW STUDY

Abstract

Herbo-mineral preparations play a major role in curing diseases in human beings. These preparations are appreciated for their quick effectiveness, smaller dosages, longer shelf life etc. In various ayurvedic literatures, therapeutic efficacy of herbomineral formulations for obstetrics and gynecology is significantly highlighted. These formulations helps in addressing various conditions such as menstrual irregularities, reproductive challenges, menopausal symptoms, age-related degenerative disorders, infertility, anti natal care and post natal care. This research focuses on such herbo-mineral formulations and their impact on obstetrics and gynecological conditions, as knowledge of these formulations is vital for successful practice. These medicine forms represent an important limb of treatment for female health.
