HOMOEOPATHIC THERAPEUTICS FOR VARIOUS MALIGNANCIES: A LITERARY REVIEW BASED ON BOERICKE’S MATERIA MEDICA

Abstract Malignancy refers to a group of diseases characterized by the uncontrolled proliferation of abnormal cells that possess the ability to invade surrounding tissues and spread to distant part through blood and lymphatic system.[1] The term malignant denotes a progressive disease condition that shows tendency to worsen and may ultimately lead to death if not treated appropriately.[2]According to the therapeutic concepts disused in the Materia medica tradition of William Boericke’s, malignancy is viewed as a deep constitutional disorder involving destruction pf tissues, cachexia, ulceration, glandular induration, haemorrhage, burning pain and progressive weakness. Boericke emphasized that homoeopathic treatment should not focus only on the local tumor, but on totality of symptoms, constitutional tendencies, mental state, modalities, heredity, and pathological changespresent in patient.[3] This article aims to present a literary review research done on such remedies and their therapeutic significance in various malignant conditions.
