Abstract Introduction: In this modern era, Peripheral Vascular Diseases (PVDs) have become very common due to the deranged lifestyle like unhealthy dietary practices, sedentary lifestyle and various mental factors like stress etc. Among the PVDs, Buerger’s disease, Atherosclerosis, Raynaud’s phenomenon, Varicose veins, and Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) hamper the blood circulation in limbs leading to various health consequences. The view of these diseases in Ayurvedic perspective shows vitiation of Vata and Rakta doshas and can be corelated to the conditions like Vatarakta, Rakta Avrita Vata, and Siragata Vata. Materials and Methods: This article explores PVD through the lens of Ayurveda and the preventive, promotive as well as therapeutic approaches based on classical Ayurvedic texts such as the Charaka Samhita, Sushruta Samhita, and Ashtanga Hridaya in align with modern medicine insights.
