A COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW ON THE ROLE OF KAYACHIKITSA IN MANAGING AMAVATA AND JOINT PAIN: HERBAL FORMULATIONS AND THERAPEUTIC INTERVENTIONS
Dr. Tushar B. Khairnar*
Abstract Amavata, a debilitating disease characterized by joint pain, stiffness, and swelling, presents a significant clinical challenge due to its chronicity and potential for morbidity. Correlated with Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) in modern medicine, Amavata results from the pathological conjunction of vitiated Vata dosha and Ama (metabolic toxins). Kayachikitsa, the Ayurvedic branch of internal medicine, offers a comprehensive management framework addressing both the underlying pathogenesis and symptomatic manifestations. This review explores the conceptual foundations of Amavata, its correlation with Rheumatoid Arthritis, and the multifaceted therapeutic approaches within Kayachikitsa. Keywords: Amavata, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Kayachikitsa, Herbal Formulations, Panchakarma, Joint Pain, Ayurveda. [Full Text Article] [Download Certificate] |
