BRIDGING ANCIENT WISDOM AND MOLECULAR MEDICINE: CLINICAL APPLICATIONS OF CORE AYURVEDIC SIDDHANTAS IN CONTEMPORARY PATHOPHYSIOLOGY
Dr. Suman Sarkar, *Dr. Mukesh Kumar
Abstract Ayurveda, the ancient science of life, relies on foundational philosophical and clinical principles known as Siddhantas. While traditionally viewed through a purely historical or qualitative lens, these principles offer profound correlations with modern molecular biology, systems biology, and chronic disease pathogenesis. This article provides a critical analysis of four core Siddhantas—Lok-Purusha Samya Siddhanta (macrocosm-microcosm correspondence), Kriya Kala Siddhanta (six stages of pathogenesis), Agni Siddhanta (metabolic fire and enzymatic integrity), and Srotas Siddhanta (systemic channels and microcirculation). By integrating classical scriptural references—including the Charaka Samhita and Sushruta Samhita—with contemporary scientific literature, we explore how these frameworks can revolutionize the management of metabolic syndrome, autoimmune diseases, gut dysbiosis, and diabetic microvascular complications. This translational synthesis aims to establish a rigorous scientific foundation for personalized, systems-oriented clinical practice. Keywords: Lok-Purusha Samya, Kriya Kala, Agni, Srotas, Metabolic Syndrome, Autoimmune Diseases, Gut Dysbiosis, Microvascular Complications. [Full Text Article] [Download Certificate] |
