NIDANA PANCHAKA IN VISHA CHIKITSA: EXPLORING THE ROLE OF ROGNIDAN IN AYURVEDIC TOXICOLOGY

Abstract Agada Tantra is the branch of Ayurveda concerned with the recognition, prevention and management of toxic conditions caused by various types of Visha. Diagnosis of poisoning requires identification of the source of exposure, characteristic clinical manifestations, progression of toxicity and involvement of different body systems. In Ayurveda, Rognidan provides a structured approach to disease assessment, while Nidana Panchaka—Nidana, Purvarupa, Rupa, Upashaya and Samprapti—forms an important diagnostic framework.
