Dr. Anita*
Abstract Background: Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM), broadly correlated with Madhumeha in Ayurveda, is a chronic metabolic disorder involving systemic tissue degeneration (Dhatukshaya) and impairment of qualitative tissue excellence (Dhatusara). Objective: To evaluate and assess the Dhatusara status across different tissue categories in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus compared to healthy non-diabetic individuals. Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional comparative observational study was conducted at the Department of Rachana Sharir, Tantia University, Sri Ganganagar. Participants aged 30 to 65 years were categorized into diabetic (T2DM) and healthy non-diabetic control groups.
