Abstract

METHOD DEVELOPMENT AND VALIDATION FOR SIMULTANEOUS ESTIMATION OF ESOMEPRAZOLE AND DOMPERIDONE BY RP-HPLC IN BULK AND COMBINED DOSAGE FORMS

Abstract

A new HPLC method was developed and validated for the determination of Esomeprazole and Domperidone in tablet dosage form. The chromatographic separation was achieved on an Intersil C18 methanol: water (50:50 V/V) at a flow rate of 1.0 mL/min, and the detection was carried out by using UV detector at 260 nm. The total run time was 10 minutes. The retention time of Esomeprazole and Domperidone were found to be 2.869 min. and 3.942 min. respectively. The performance of the method was validated according to the present ICH guidelines.
