Abstract Background: Up to the researchers' knowledge, this study is the first of its kind in Sudan. To use their medications safely and appropriately, patients need up-dated, comprehensive, balanced and understandable medication information. Pharmacists, as medications specialists, are expected to be the main providers of that information. Objective: To evaluate the: the quality and forms of medication information provided by Sudanese community pharmacists to patients. Method: A structured and pre-piloted questionnaire of (24) closed ended questions, was handed over by one of the researchers, to (130) respondent community pharmacists.
