Abstract Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a highly prevalent endocrinemetabolicdisorder that implies various severe consequences to femalehealth, including alarming rates of infertility. Ethanol extract ofTecomeria capensis (Bignoniaceae) was investigated for the activityagainst letrozole induced polycystic ovarian syndrome. Letrozoleinduced PCO untreated rats exhibited a significant increase in bodyweight compared to controls. In contrast, no further increase in bodyweight was observed in ethanol extract of Tecomaria capensis treatedPCO rats. ethanol extract of Tecomaria capensis treatment in letrozoleinduced PCO rats also demonstrated showed similar kinds of rhythm inestrus cyclicity as controls and the metformin group suggesting reversion toward normalphysiology Letrozole treated PCO rats showed significant increases in ovarian weightswhereas ethanol extract of Tecomaria capensis treated PCO animals exhibited ovarianweights similar to controls. Extract showed a significant results comparing to standards. Jeansmai abh nahi loomgi. Badh. Keywords: Tecomaria capensis, polycystic ovarian syndrome, letrozole.
