BIOLOGICAL SCREENING (IN-VITRO) OF SOME 2, 5 DISUBSTITUTED OXADIAZOLE DERIVATIVES

Abstract A series of novel 2,5-disubstituted 1,3,4-oxadiazole derivativeswere synthesized by convergent synthesis using various aromatic aldehydes. The structures of synthesized compounds have been elucidated by spectral studies like UV, IR, 1H NMR and MASS spectroscopy.Synthesis and characterization of the above compounds has been accepted for publication in EJBPS journal (April issue). The biological activity of the synthesized compounds has been reported in this study.Antimicrobial activity was carried out by agar cup plate method, antioxidant activity by hydrogen peroxide scavenging capacity method and anti-inflammatory by human red blood cell membrane stabilization method.
