Abstract Background: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Diseases patients may be at increased risk for vitamin D deficiency, but risk factors for deficiency among these patients have not been extensively studied.Aim:The present study was conductedto investigate the association between important explanatory variables of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Diseases with circulatory level of vitamin D. Methods: Serum vitamin D level was measured by chemiluminescencemethod in 552 patients and 521 controls. Different explanatory variables of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Diseaseswere examined for associations with vitamin Din linear regression models. Results: Serum vitamin D levels were significantly lower in patients than controls (p Keywords: [Full Text Article] [Download Certificate] |
