QUANTITATIVE ANALYSIS OF MICONAZOLE NITRATE IN BINARY MIXTURE WITH BETAMETHASONE VALERATE IN BULK POWDER AND CREAM FORMULATION BY VARIOUS SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC TECHNIQUES
Khalid A. M. Attia, Nasr M. A. El-Abassawy, Mohamed M. A. El-Dosoky and Rady F. A. Gaber*
Abstract Four Simple, Accurate, selective and sensitive spectrophotometric methods have been developed and validated for determination of miconazole nitrate in binary mixture with betamethasone valerate without preliminary separation. These methods include amplitude modulation method, absorbance subtraction method, ratio subtraction method and constant center method. These methods were validated and successfully applied to the determination of Micosone® cream. The obtained results were statistically compared with those of the reported method by applying t-test and F-test at 95% confidence level and no significant difference was observed regarding accuracy and precision. Keywords: Miconazole nitrate, Betamethasone valerate, Amplitude modulation, Absorbance subtraction, Ratio subtraction and Constant center. [Full Text Article] [Download Certificate] |
