K2CO3 PROMOTED SYNTHESIS OF 4- SUBSTITUTEDCALIX[4]ARENE AND 4-TERTBUTYLCALIX[ 8]ARENE DERIVATIVES UNDER MICROWAVE IRRADIATION.

Abstract

p-Methylcalix[4]arene (IX), p-phenylcalix[4]arene (X), pbenzylcalix[ 4]arene (XI), p-cumylcalix [4] arene (XII), pmethoxycalix[ 4]arene XIII), p-carbo methoxy calix[4]arene (XIV) and p-tertbutylcalix [8]arene (XV) are synthesized in presence of K2CO3 under microwave irradiation.
