SYNTHESIS AND EVALUATION OF ANTHELMINTIC ACTIVITY OF SOME SUBSTITUTED CINNOLOTHIOPHENE DERIVATIVES

Abstract

Cinnoline are the six membered heterocyclic compound found to elicit many pharmacological actions like anti-hypertensive, antithrombotic, antihistamine, antileukemic, CNS activity, anti tumor, antibacterial and antisecretory activity. Similarly thiophene moiety is well known for their therapeutic values. Study was aimed to synthesize some cinnoline derivatives from substituted anilines and these substituted cinnolines are further condensed with thiophene moiety and further evaluated these substituted cinnolothiophene derivatives for biological activity.
