Abstract Tuberculosis is a highly infectious diseases with about world’s population including 40% Indian estimated to be infected. An estimated 8.6 million cases developed TB and 1.3 million died from the disease. In diagnosis of lower respiratory tract infection sputum smear microscopy is the most commonly used technique.
