EFFECT OF FOLICURE ON LIPID ALTERATION IN FRESH WATER SNAIL LYMNAEA AURICULARIA
*Dr. Anita Parashram Patil, Mast. Hitesh Kailas Kapadnis, Dr. Kapadnis Kailas Haribhau
Abstract Most of the pesticides known to affect the neural functions at various levels, Folicure is systemic fungicide has ample application on account of its efficiency against a wide variety of fungus, however its entry into aquatic bodies through runoff water. Such fungicide affects the nontarget organisms like Lymnaea auricularia.[1] In present study the toxic potential of folicure is assessed by acute and chronic static bioassay. The average LC50 values ware determine for 24, 48, 72 and 96 hours. While chronic treatment for 10, 20 and 30 days, biochemical changes estimated by standard method. Lipid content was estimated by Barnes and Blokstok method.[2] It is observed that the Lipid contain were change in hepatopancrease and gonads in Lymnaea auricularia. Keywords: Lipid, Bioassay, Folicure, Hepatopancrease and Gonads. [Full Text Article] [Download Certificate] |
