Abstract

Guard rail means a fence or bar constructed for safety at the edge ofany potentially dangerous area. Oral cavity is a beautiful creation ofnature where it experiences different habitual threat like tonguethrusting, thumb sucking, lip biting, etc. and if untreated there ischance of development of malocclusion. This case report delineates aninnovative removable habit breaking appliance, named Sudipta kar’sguard rail appliance, designed to reduce or eliminate these kinds ofhabits.
