SYNTHESIS, CHARACTERIZATION AND BIOLOGICAL EVALUATION OF COUMARIN-PYRAZOLE-PYRAZOLINE HYBRIDS
Keyurkumar A. Kamania and Kanuprasad D. Patela*
Abstract A series of structurally new coumarin clubbed pyrazolyl-pyrazoline derivatives 5a–t were designed and synthesized by multistep synthesis. All the synthesized compounds were characterized by mass, 1H & 13C NMR and elemental analysis. Furthermore, compound 5a-t evaluated for their in vitro antibacterial, antitubercular and antimalarial activities. The results indicated that all the compounds shows poor to good antibacterial activity against gram +ve and gram -ve bacteria, some of the synthesized compounds posses promising antitubercular activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37 Rv and some compounds displayed good antimalarial activity against Plasmodium falciparum as compared to standard drug. Keywords: pyrazole, pyrazoline, coumarin, antitubercular, antimalarial. [Full Text Article] [Download Certificate] |
