Abstract The present study involved the isolation of natural product that hasbeen identified as carbazole derivative, reported first time fromAngophora costata of South Australian origin. Carbazole derivativeshave been of special pharmaceutical importance because of theirversatile biological aspects including inflammation, antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, anticancer and protein-kinase inhibition activities. The immunological activity of the carbazole derivative has beenperformed in the present paper by using T- cell proliferation assay andcytotoxic assay using MTT method and CC1 mouse normal liver celllines at concentrations 20 and 5.0μg/mL with IC50 value is 1.4 ± 0.14μg/mL as compared to control.
