CARCINOSIN, A BOON FOR PEDIATRIC NEPHROLITHIASIS: CASE REPORTS

Abstract Introduction: There is an increasing trend for prevalence of kidneystone all over the world among all age group but especially in pediatricage group. With the use of individualized homoeopathic medicines,which is reported to be more beneficial than organ-specifichomoeopathic medicines, the menace of pediatric nephrolithiasis canbe curtailed. Case profile: Two cases of pediatric kidney stone havingfamily history of complex diseases like pulmonary tuberculosis,rheumatoid arthritis, schizophrenia and PCOD. They were prescribedCarcinosin, considering their mental and physical symptoms; behaviorpattern, personal history, as well as complex family disorders,expulsion of stones was noticed in 4 to 5 months. Conclusion: Carcinosin, prescribed on thebasis of individualization focusing certain presenting symptoms, family history, personalhistory and behavior pattern favoured expulsion of kidney stones in two children in optimaltime. Further documentation of case reports is required to explore the unfathomed avenues oflesser known /partially proved homoeopathic medicines.
