SYNTHESIS AND BIOLOGICAL SCREENING OF 4-[4’ (DIBENZO [B, F] [1, 4] THIAZEPN-11”-YL-AMINO) PHENYL]-6-ARYL PYRIMIDINE- 2(1H)-ONES

Abstract

Looking to the interesting pharmacological and agricultural activity of pyrimidine ring system, it was considered worthwhile to synthesized compounds bearing phenyl carbamidodibenzo [b, f] [1,4]thiazepine nucleus linked to the pyrimidine nucleus synthesis of 4- [4’(dibenzo[b,f][1,4]thiazepn-11”-yl-amino)phenyl]-6-arylpyrimidine- 2(1H)-one(5a-5j) have been synthesized by the condensation of 1”-[4’- (dibenzo[b, f] [1,4] thiazepine-11-yl) aminophenyl]-3”-aryl-2-ene-1”- ones with urea. The constitutions of the synthesized products were supported by IR, 1H NMR and mass spectral study. The products were screened for their antimicrobial activity at 50 μg concentration by cupplate method.
