SYNTHESIS OF SOME NOVEL 1, 2-BIS(4-(5-METHYL-1HTETRAZOL- 1-YL) PHENYL)DIAZENES VIA OXIDATIVE DIMERIZATION

Abstract The synthesis of 1,2-bis(4-(5-methyl-1H-tetrazol-1-yl)phenyl)diazenes (2a-g) were achieved from the corresponding 5-methyl-1H-tetrazol-1- yl-benzenamines (1a-g) via oxidative dimerization by using t-BuOCl in the presence of sodium iodide in diethyl ether in good to excellent yields.
